• Marilyn has scaled back her community involvement since her son was born in September 1997
• Currently, Marilyn is actively involved in the Alberta Celebrate Canada Committee as the Medicine Hat and area representative

• Past Chair of the Association of Collaborative Law Lawyers (Medicine Hat)
• Past Director and Board Member of the Alberta Family Mediation Society
• Also lectures for Public Legal Education and other nonprofit groups, such as churches, Women's Shelter
• Participates in and helps plan Law Day
• Member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals

Personal

• Born in Medicine Hat, grew up on a farm in the Schuler area
• Married to John (partner)
• 1 son and 3 stepchildren and knows the joys and challenges of a blended family
• In her spare time, Marilyn likes to spend time with her young son and family
• She also enjoys golf, baseball, reading and singing
