- Past Chair of the Association of Collaborative Law Lawyers (Medicine
Hat)
- Past Director and Board Member of the Alberta Family Mediation

- Also lectures for Public Legal Education and other nonprofit
groups, such as churches, Women's Shelter
- Participates in and helps plan Law Day

Personal
- Born in Medicine Hat, grew up on a farm in the Schuler area
- Married to John (partner)
- 1 son and 3 stepchildren and knows the joys and challenges of
a blended family
- In her spare time, Marilyn likes to spend time with her young
son and family
- She also enjoys golf, baseball, reading and singing
